Merck bestows Dr. Lemmuel Tayo with Best Research Award

Biotechnology and Biological Engineering Program Head Dr. Lemmuel L. Tayo was given the Best Research Award for the Young Scientist (BRAYS) by Merck Awards 2011. His entry, “Proteomic Analysis Provides Insights on Venom Processing in Conus textile”, bested other entries in vaccine development and infectious diseases. Read more of the article here.

Outstanding Young Scientists' roster welcomes Dr. Rhoda Leron of ChE-Chm

Honoring her researches in the development of novel solvents for CO2 capture, Dr. Rhoda B. Leron of the Schol of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry was conferred with the prestigious Outstanding Young Scientist (OYS) Award from the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) last July 2014. She became the fourth Mapúan faculty and the third professor from the School of CheChmBEMSE to receive the award. Read more of the article here.

Dr. Alvin Caparanga hailed as one of the Outstanding Young Scientists of 2010

Program Chair of the Chemical Engineering program Dr. Alvin R. Caparanga was granted the Outstanding Young Scientist (OYS) Award by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) last July 15, 2010. Dr. Caparanga at that time was only the second Mapúan professor to receive the prestigious award given to researchers who stand out in their respective fields of study. Dr. Allan Soriano of the School of ChEChmBEMSE bags 2011 OYS Award

Dr. Allan Soriano became the third Mapúan faculty to receive the National Academy of Science and Technology's (NAST) Outstanding Yound Scientist (OYS) Award for his work on the characterization and correlation of the thermophysical properties of ionic liquids and alkanolamines used for carbon dioxide capture.
