Mapúa University's fourth year Chemical Engineering students Alan Mark A. Bundoc and Mark Vincent E. Manansala emerged victorious in the Scientific Research Category of the 12th Annual Research Awards (ARAW) held at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) last March 8.
Mapúa University has been shortlisted in the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia 2019’s Teaching and Learning Strategy of the Year category. The University is the only higher education institution (HEI) from the Philippines that made it to the list of the said category for its teaching and learning strategies known as Digital Day and Digital Rush.
Mapúa University has partnered with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to develop its Technology Licensing Office (TLO) through a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signed last December 2018. ADORNADO won the same award in Session 7 (Water and Groundwater II) - a total of three (3) for Mapua CBMES - in the 4th International Conference on Water Resource and Environment (WRE 2018) held in I-Shou University in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan on July 17 - 21, 2018.
Sedfrey L. Macatantan, a graduating student of Mapua University, School of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering and Sciences, received a grant from AIR LIQUIDE to attend its Summer School Program in Paris, France on June 26 - July 3, 2018. The Summer School Program was attended by 30 undergraduate and graduate students from different parts of the world where Air Liquide has plants. Macatantan was the only representative of the Philippines, chosen from applicants from different universities in the country.
