Studies of Mapuan chemical engineers awarded best oral presentations in ICWRE 2018
Three studies by two Mapúan chemical engineers were awarded Best Oral Presentation in the 4th International Conference on Water Resource and the Environment (ICWRE 2018) last July 17-21, 2018, at I-Shou University in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.
Engr. Kristopher Ray S. Pamintuan presented two studies: Session 5 – “Stacking of aquatic plant-microbial fuel cells growing water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) and water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes)”; Session 9 – “Simultaneous phytoremediation of Ni2+ and bioelectricity generation in a plant-microbial fuel cell assembly using water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes)”.
Meanwhile, Engr. Adonis P. Adornado presented his study “Reduction of water hardness from groundwater in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines using electrocoagulation” in Session 7 of the conference.
