Congratulations, Chester Kenneth A. Andra, graduate of BS Chemical Engineering/ MS Environmental Engineering joint program of Mapúa University, School of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering and Sciences (CBMES) for placing 3rd in the 2021 Magsaysay Future Engineers/Technologists Award.

Andra's entry is his study entitled “Increased performance and antifouling of mixed-matrix membranes of cellulose acetate with hydrophilic nanoparticles of polydopamine-sulfobetaine methacrylate for oil-water separation” that he conducted at the Center for Membrane Technology (CMT) and Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) in Taiwan, under the direct supervision of another Mapúan, Dr. Micah Belle Marie Ang (BS ChE).

Dr. Alvin R. Caparanga, Prof. Kueir-Rarn Lee, and Prof. Shu-Hsien Huang are his thesis advisers.
