David Leviste is awarded a Fulbright scholarship as a B.S. Chemistry international exchange student at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, USA, thru the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) by World Learning in Washington D.C.

Global UGRAD, thru the efforts of the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF), brings future leaders to the U.S. to experience its educational system, culture, and values. The program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with full funding provided by the U.S. Government.

Participants are selected for academic excellence, leadership potential, community involvement, fluency in written and spoken English, and motivation and flexibility to be an exchange student.

Leviste is one of only four (4) students from the Philippines that is awarded this Fulbright scholarship; and the only one coming from a private school.
