The Memorandum of Understanding for BSChE-Portfolio Project was signed between Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers, Inc. and Mapúa University via virtual ceremony this afternoon, August 6, 2021. The ceremony was attended by the main signatories PIChE National President Engr. Maricris Vines and Dr. Reynaldo B. Vea, Mapua University President and CEO, Dr. Bonifacio T. Doma, Jr., Exec. VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Alvin R. Caparanga, Dean of School of Chemical, Biological, Materials Engineering and Sciences, Dr. Leonila C. Abella, FPIChE, Chair, TWG on Partnerships and Prof. Alberto A. Laurito, FPIChE, Chair, TWG on Competence as witnesses. The project will be implemented for four (4) Academic Years beginning AV 2021-22.

Mapúa University is the fourth higher educational institution to sign MOU with PIChE for this project. The objective of this project is to measure and improve the annual performance of BS Chemical Engineering graduates from seven (7) pilot universities with respect to 12 Categories of the Washington Accord Graduate Attributes, through evidenced-based learning.
