MAPUA CBMES SENIOR CHEMICAL ENGINEERING STUDENT IN AIR LIQUIDE-PARIS SUMMER CAMP

Sedfrey L. Macatantan, a graduating student of Mapua University, School of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering and Sciences, received a grant from AIR LIQUIDE to attend its Summer School Program in Paris, France on June 26 - July 3, 2018. The Summer School Program was attended by 30 undergraduate and graduate students from different parts of the world where Air Liquide has plants. Macatantan was the only representative of the Philippines, chosen from applicants from different universities in the country.
The purpose of the Summer School Program was for the participants to gain invaluable insights into the day to day business and challenges of the company and promote Air Liquide as an employer of choice. The program consisted of company presentations, site visits, group discussions, case studies, and team building exercises.
It should be noted that the participants were treated as guests for the week. Expenses linked to the activities and agenda were supported by Air Liquide, which included return plane ticket, accommodation, full insurance coverage, and visa fees.
