Chemical engineering student bags 2nd place in 12th Executives’ Challenge

Ken Yamauchi, a student of the School of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biological Engineering and Material Science Engineering, is part of the team that garnered 2nd place in the 12th Executives’ Challenge held at the Electrical Engineering Auditorium in University of the Philippines Los Baños on February 12, 2017.

Joining Yamauchi that won 2nd prize are fellow Mapúans John Victor Lau, Earl Celino and Jules Montana. Teams of engineering students from different universities all over the country took part in the contest. The participants showcased their academic excellence as they answered problems on Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials and other engineering sciences.

The annual competition is part of this year’s edition of the Engineering Congress that is hosted by the Civil Engineering Executive Organization, a duly recognized academic organization from the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology in the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
