Chemical Engineering program of MIT receives full accreditation from PTC-ACBET
The Philippine Technological Council - Accreditation and Certification Board for Engineering and Technology (PTC-ACBET) granted the BS Chemical Engineering program along with three other programs of Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT), the full accreditation status during their institutional visit last February 12, 2016.
Dean Luz L. Lozano of the School of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, along with the Chemical Engineering Program Chair Dr. Alvin R. Caparanga accepted the certtificate of accrediation alongside Dr. Reynaldo B. Vea and Dr. Bonifacio T. Doma, Jr., President and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, respectively. The accreditation of the Chemical Engineering program and other programs is a testament to the effectiveness of Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) in producing world-class and competitive graduates by MIT. The accreditation is effective for six (6) years, from A.Y. 2015-2016 to 2020-2021.
Other MIT offerings that are recently awarded with full accreditations are BS Computer Engineering, BS Civil Engineering, and BS Mechanical Engineering.
