The Commision on Higher Education recently released CHED Memorandum Order No. 38, series of 2015, which elevates the BS Chemical Engineering program of Mapua Institute of Technology as a Center of Excellence.

This development follows as the BS Chemical Engineering program of MIT "unceasingly demonstrates excellent performance in areas of instruction, research, linkages, and institutional qualifications."

The BS Computer Engineering program was also named as a Center of Excellence under the said Memorandum, while the BS Information Technology program was named as a Center of Development.
