MISSION

MITCCRC aims to promote the culture and practice of research among the faculty and students of the School of ChE-Chm not only as a tool for gaining knowledge at the cutting edge but also as a form of exercise that helps gain values essential for one’s personal and professional growth.

VISION

The vision of MIT CHE-CHM Research Center is to be a recognized center of excellence in specific fields of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and Biotechnology Research en route for responsiveness to the demands of the global environment, community and industry.

OBJECTIVES

The following are the MITCCRC specific objectives:

1. to assist the school’s Faculty Development Committee to develop a faculty with strong research background and competence in specific fields;
2. to have participation in curriculum planning in order to ensure the inclusion of relevant research activities in specific courses;
3. to formulate research programs or activities that will directly involve both faculty and students;
4. to help recommend resources (library materials, equipment, etc.) to support research effort;
5. to promote research among faculty and students and to facilitate faculty-student interaction to research;
6. to establish strong linkage through research collaborations with the industry, other schools in the institute and other academic organization (local and international), and government and non-government organizations;
7. to assist researchers in looking for support funds for their respective activities; and to disseminate research information and outputs through fora, colloquia and ultimately publication in local and international refereed research journal.
