Scholarship Grant Program

   

Objective:

 

To help finance the schooling of deserving college students in the School of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry.

   
Criteria:
1. Grantee must be a bonafide MIT student.
2. Must have a weighted average of 2.25 or higher.
3. Must have no failing grade or incomplete marks during his/her first and second years.
4. Must have passed all of the first and second year subjects.
5. Must have a family income not more than Php 10,000.00 per month.
6. Must not been enjoying any scholarship at the time of application (except MIT academic scholarship).
   
Guidelines for Selection of New Scholars:
1. Applicants shall be required to fill up the application form and submit the same, together with his/her first and second year grades, 2 x 2 photo, certificate of good moral character, latest ITR of parents, to the office of the Dean of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry within the next fourteen days, with the applicants ranked accordingly.
2. The applicant shall be required to execute an undertaking to the fact that he/she is not enjoying any other form of scholarship.
3. The Dean's Office shall forward the recommendees to the MITCCAA Board within the next fourteen days, with the applicants ranked accordingly.
4. The MITCCAA Scholarship Committee screens the application received, do background investigations, and makes the necessary recommendation to the MITCCAA Board for the final, selection and thereafter releases the results (these process must not exceed thirty days).
5. The MITCCAA Secretariat shall notify the scholar immediately and instructs him/her to report to the Secretariat office as soon as possible.
6. The MITCCAA Board, on the other hand notifies the Dean in writing us to the results of the selection.
   
Guidelines for Existing Scholars:
1. Scholars shall submit a copy of their grades to the secretariat on the first day of release of grades.
2. For the scholar to continue enjoying the MITCCAA scholarship, he/she must have a weighted average of not less than 2.25 and must not have "7" (incomplete) nor "9" (dropped) and must have a load not less than 18 units.
3. Within twenty-four hours, the MITCCAA Board decides on whether the scholar will continue enjoying the scholarship.
4. In case the scholar becomes the academic scholar, he/she will continue enjoying the MITCCAA Scholarship.
