PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
  • Provide the students a thorough grounding in basic and advanced chemistry relevant to the practice of chemical engineering
  • Provide students a firm foundation in chemical engineering principles
  • Provide students with sufficient background in mathematics, basic and advanced engineering sciences, and their applications to chemical engineering
  • Provide students opportunities to work in teams, solve problems, and develop critical thinking
  • Provide students venues for enhancement of communication skills; application of information technology as an aid or tool in problem solving; and involvement in research and extension services
  • Instill within the students the desire for and commitment to lifelong learning
  • Foster among students the commitment to protect public interest – health, safety, and green environment – and to maintain the highest ethical standards in the practice of chemical engineering
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
  • Provide students with skills to analyze and solve problems in chemistry
  • Provide students knowledge on research methodologies and problem-solving techniques
  • Provide students the ability to interpret, organize, and present chemical information through oral and written discourse
  • Develop students who are committed to the protection and preservation of the environment and who are deeply aware of the concept of sustainable development
Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology
  • Provide the students a solid background on molecular biosciences such as Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Microbiology, Bioinformatics and Biochemical Engineering
  • Train the students with the proper laboratory skills they will use in research and development in the various areas of Biotechnology
  • Inculcate social, legal and ethical responsibility in the practice of the Biotechnology profession
  • Provide the students the knowledge to manage and set-up a bio-industry
