Overview

Mapúa Institute of Technology's School of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry was established in 1934, making it the first chemical engineering program in the nation. At present, the School is the largest Chemical Engineering school in the country and has a legacy of producing students who become leaders in industry, business, government service, research, and academe.

Now a member of the YGC Group, the Mapúa - School of ChE-Chm is committed to continue and further advance this tradition of academic excellence in the field of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry through cutting-edge researches, relevant technical extension and community services, and stronger institutional linkages. Entrusted by Commission of Higher Education (CHED) as a Center of Development (COD-1) in Chemical Engineering, the School is tasked to motivate and assist other higher learning institutions to raise their standard and improve performance.
